2010 - 2011A modern design language focuses on the product experience, anything that distracts from this is removed.
Extraneous detail and form have been replaced by the minimalistic. Basic forms and extruded profiles draw
attention away from the product itself onto the experience it offers. Your iPhone 4 no longer has the curved
rear of the 3G and 3Gs but instead is a simple yet beautifully orchestrated block. This is reflected in the form
of the dock where material and refined details of the extruded form preside over the chrome plated foot which
allows the form to float hinting at the subwoofer inside.
